So this is a week of goodness here!
Peanut's growth is back on track, thanks to the Grandma's and their home cooking, and she's a flourishing little machine at this point, very good at sitting, and working on trying to locomote forwards rather than backwards, and trying out all the new fun sounds she can make.
The Project Manager and I are incredibly busy, with house and shows and entertaining (we have a show this weekend, and I have another gig on Saturday), then we have prep and rehearsals etcetera on Sunday.
Oh yah and we both work full time, too, and there's a house that needs maintenance, etc.
Still, a good week! Lots of laughter and fun, lots of carrying on and enjoying ourselves, but we really do need a day or two off. I mean, literally, full-time work, social commitments, church, chores... there's no end to it . NO END.
But hey! Cuba in a few months, that will count, right?

Things at work that are good:
From Sept 09
Boss has gone away: good
Boss has given me his corner office: better
Boss has given me his truck: even better
I have a badge: WOOOOOOOOOO!

And the wind is a howling! It came on faster than I thought, and harder, too.
The raft is beseiged by sea-birds who seem to think that their
presence stabilizes the raft. The Glade cutting is safely stowed
under a box... I seem to be ready. The sky is dark, and in fact I can
no longer tell which way is east... No idea where the wind is pushing
me.
I should tether myself to the raft, but I don't seem to have the
energy. It's not too late for me to pull into a safe harbour, but
again, I don't have the energy.
So I'm sitting in the middle of the raft, leaning and bending as the
raft tips and wallows. The first big slant of the raft bowled me over
but once I realized the storm had hit I took my balancing very
seriously....
the paper from here down is torn off

Mid-life crisis
I had my mid-life crisis the other day, when I realized that I am close to dead than being born, or maybe it's when I realized that 40 is closer than 30, or something... I don't really know the cause.
Anyway, it showed up, I was upset for about 2 minutes... then it went away.
Peanut is doing very well, and is a perfect little baby. We still need to fatten her up, but we're doing that ok, and everything will be fine.
We've started this mass Friday night daycare arrangement, where we take in other people's children and look after them, and everyone reciprocates with each other. Tonight we are hosting a couple of little gaffers, then next week Peanut is off to someone else's house while our Burlesque troupe has a show!
We had a lovely evening last night on the front porch of our neighbours' house, where we drank a lot of beer and talked, mostly about sex.
