I read some things in advance:
Structure is important: shower, brush teeth, do normal things at normal time, etc.
But man... this is surreal
The Peanuts are adapted well, and they're being better than we ever deserve. They are being good friends to each other, and good students and good sleepers.
Peanut #1 had a Big Sad the other day, and we were able to solve it with a video chat with her cousin which was a lifesaver. Peanut #1 has also decided that this is the time to REALLY start learning to read, which is great.
Peanut #2 is doing great, and is not being super annoying to her sister, which is good. Her reading is coming along well, and her math is spooky good.
Right now they're upstairs playing computer homework games with each other and not fighting which is some kind of miracle

COvid update
Hoo boy, it's been a few days.
Prairie University has been pounded by the combination of cuts and covid, and we've had 5 layoffs on our team, one and a half retirements, and two more layoffs in the team above ours and one looming retirement there, so it's brutal. Plus, you know, these are the people who are helping to support the researchers who do research on Covid-19, so that's not awesome.
But the fucking provincial government is bound and determined to destroy post-secondary education in Alberta so off they go!
I've decided to start thinking of them as actual lunatics in an asylum, because it's the only thing that makes sense to me as a motivator for their behaviour

My wife's business is closed, I'm working from home, the schools and ballet classes and etc etc are all closed, including our church, so... every day is exactly the same.
I think we're gonna learn some biological frickin' realities here about how we're supposed to function. Every workplace structure imposed by the industrial revolution's work week is _gone_.

Covid
Day one of working from home all done. Thank god for inlaws who can take the kids.
No one is sick, and small social gatherings continue. we continue to socialize in small groups, and the kids will be shunted back and forth from parents to parents.

Back to work....
I think my work is making me crazy...
There is a dramatic tension between those of us in our office who like to act on impulse and do things super quickly, and those who prefer a more careful approach.
And I'm losing! Dammit. I mean, I'm not always right, but I like to win...
