Art

I have a painting of a pig in a lab coat flying over some sheep on computers.

I love it so much.  The Project Manager does not. Especially when I mounted it on the stairwell down from the bedrooms at eye level.

I have a lot of art, a LOT of art, and It needs to all be on the walls, so this is a big push for us for this summer.

It's going to be a challenge, I think, but if we go at it one piece at a time I think we can put it all up and preserve our marriage

I want to have one of those houses that has a million pieces of art all over the place.  The Project Manager wants all that art to match.
:D

Busy

This is more of a placeholder post than anything else:

Here's a topic!  ART

I am putting up all the ART we own.  There's a lot of it, most of it is weird.  The Project Manager hates most of it.  But instead of keeping it in storage and NOT figuring out what to keep and what to jumk, I am forcing the issue.  And it's kinda fun.

Let's be clear.

I have- had a friend, whose name is Rob.

Rob is a cokehead.

Rob has an exgirlfirend who shahll remain anonymous for this post. She is also my friend. She used to be a sex worker.

Rob tried to convince me that I should stop being her friend because of her past, and he implied I should stop being her friend on the grounds of my religion

DUDE HAVE YOU MET MY RELIGION?  That is NOT what it says to do.

So I'm not his friend anymore.

Peanut vs the World

So Peanut has encountered the world of the education system, and The System is very concerned that she doesn't eat her morning snack.

I really really don't care whether she eats her morning snack.

So now I have to teach her to stick up for herself in a polite way.

I think something like "I have a small tummy, I'm fine, thank-you"

It reminds me of when The Boy's principal banned Tag, and I told The Boy that if he played Tag and got in trouble that would be OK.

Been a while!

It's been a bit of an uphill slog this month!

I'm behind at work, behind at home, and generally feeling cruddy.  Almost feels scary to write it down, but it's true.... and I have a lot invested in Being A Guy Who Never Feels Down.

Not a great month in that respect, tbh.

Still, maybe with increasing daylight, and a chance to get back on  my bike will help with that.

Also, Peanut started preschool this month which is crazy!  And the Boy needs to get a darneddecent job, but it seems like he's having a totally normal early adulthood apart from that.  Being a bit of a Free Spirit... maybe I should talk to him about that?  I should.

I was actually thinking about his Mom this week, too, and the Drama that seemed to ensue around her.  The Project Manager causes NONE. It's spooky. I mean, she did when we first dated, but now... no Drama.

I like that, and I like her. A lot.

Scared of growing up

I am not happy with the idea of getting older.

I've decided to offset it by staying as young as possible for as long as possible

Seems a solid plan, right?

Also, yesterday I had glamour shots taken for the Project Manager for Valentine's Day. I feel like this was a terrible idea, which means it was probably a good idea

Apologizing

So last week or so I made a Big Mistake, and I had to apologize, very rapidly, to a complete stranger who I had made very unhappy.
To make the apology sincere, I sent it from my personal e-mail account, and included my real name.

If the person who I apologized to googles my e-mail address, she will very quickly know who I am, and where to find me, and she could make my life a complete hell

But that is what I owe her.

Because I caused her such distress, to give her back the power that she feels I exerted over her, my apology has to be a transfer of power.

Thinking about it has been fun, because it occurs to me that at the heart of every real apology is a transferal of power, and without a transferal of power, there's no apology.
