And pop! my energy level is up again
This is also supported by being fully staffed at work and also having to take something like 40 vacation days in the last 3 months of this fiscal year.
My hope is to start to clean out my domestic projects a bit

I'm sleeping better!
But I'm still tired, but that's good!
I have like one deep thought today, and that is that you need to be one sentence grateful every day
Something's up, reader... I haven't had a good night's sleep in at least four days.
I hate it, a lot.
Some of it is the cats, some of it is just fretting, some of it is the change in daylight... not sure what else it could be
I guess I should talk about work, a bit?
I have two new folk working for me, and they're awesome, but very different. I wonder if this will cause any issues in the future...
When I started in the program here, 12 years ago(!), I had two staff, and it slowly... dropped away... until it was just me, and that coincided with the worst of Covid and labour disruption planning.
But now we're up and running and having a great time!
I need a system to track what we're each handling though... oof
Well.
I'm just gonna say it...
We are in a place right now where it is genuinely possible that Russia will nuke a western city.
If I lived in London, or Paris, I'd be genuinely worried. They're close enough to be hit quickly, but far enough from Russia to be a minimal impact for Russia.
TERRIFYING
The Peanut #1 is over her isolation, and Peanut #2 is thriving here in the house by herself, with time to read and play lego and so forth.
I am in Prairie Metropolis's production of La Boheme, and it's good fun, but it's a lot of time commitment. I'm a waiter, and a guard, so my waitering is a lot of work. It kinda means a lot of lost evenings.
We have a tenant for our new garage suite, a retired sommelier and cook, who is looking to downsize, which is perfect. We hope he will take the place!
So Peanut #1 has tested positive for Covid.
She's partially vaccinated, so she has to stay home for 10 days, but... Peanut #2 gets to stay home for 14 days! boooo
She was sick as a dog last night, so we tested her and got the faaaaaaintest positive result, which everyone says you need to treat as a positive, so we consider that.
This morning, she wakes up full of sass and energy, but we test her again out of an abundance of caution, and we get a solid clear positive.
So we have four different people working from home today, and I'll take the brunt of childcare over the next few days, as we did before, because the Project Manager needs to bring home the bacon!
